Important Information for Guests Visiting from Outside South Australia

I feel extremely fortunate to live in a place as beautiful and safe as Adelaide, South Australia, and happy to say since the arrival of COVID-19 in early 2020, local virus events have so far been relatively few and far between. However part of what keeps us all safe around the world are the occasional, sometimes quite sudden incidence of state-level lockdowns and border closures.

If you’re considering visiting us during these times of COVID uncertainties, I would of course love to see you, but I do want to ensure your stay proceeds as planned, so please read the Cancellation Policy carefully. COVID-related events either here or in your place of residence may at short notice affect your visit, so please ensure that you find all our terms here acceptable for your travel needs in the event of another Coronavirus event affecting your trip.


Once you have made your booking online, your preferred property and dates are held. You will then receive a further message shortly afterward, to confirm your identity. A copy of your photo ID (driving license or passport are preferred) will be required, along with the names and ages of all additional guests. Please note that no reservations can be accepted 48 hours or less in advance of check-in.

Check-In time is from 2pm on your arrival day, however luggage drop is always available from 10am.  By prior arrangement I am always delighted to offer you an earlier check-in time if possible.

 Check-Out is appreciated by 10am on your departure day. 


Can you accommodate my dietary requirements?

Bien sûr! Please let me know if you have a preferred milk variety and I will do my best to have it ready for you in the fridge for that all-important morning coffee.


How are payments handled?

Payment of your 50% deposit is required at time of booking, with the remaining 50% balance due 14 days prior to your arrival, or immediately at time of booking if your stay is scheduled to occur inside of 14 days.

I welcome Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit card payments processed via the Maison de Vacances secure booking & payment system, where your credit cards details are safely handled and will not be stored. A credit card surcharge of 2.95% is payable for American Express card payments only.

I also welcome payments made directly via online bank transfer.  Banking details are :

Security deposits are taken against your credit card at time of booking/arrival, and are refunded within seven days of your departure.


What are my options for changes and cancellations?

For cancellations made 14 days or more prior to date of arrival, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged, or you may transfer your stay to a new reservation with an arrival date within twelve months of your original arrival date.

I do understand that travel circumstances and arrangements can change quickly at the moment, but regret that I will be unable to refund where your travel arrangements are required to change for reasons including illnesses or flight cancellations.  

In this situation, please message bonjour@maisondevacances.com.au, and I will be pleased to provide any documentation you may require to support a claim with your travel insurer.

All prices are subject to seasonal changes.


Can I host additional guests?

Your Maison de Vacances apartment or townhouse is located in a residential area, and has been carefully designed for your exclusive enjoyment. Reservations are for pre-agreed named guests only.

Please be respectful of our neighbours - parties and events are not permitted.


Are children permitted?

Your Maison de Vacances apartment or townhouse is not designed to accommodate children younger than 12 years of age.


Security deposits are taken against your credit card at time of booking/arrival, and are refunded within seven days of your departure. Please note that the remediation cost of any damage to apartments will be deducted from your security deposit. Thank you for understanding that for the comfort of all guests, all Maison de Vacances properties are strictly No Smoking, and deep room clean costs will apply where required.

Verification of guest identity via a photo identity document such as a valid driver’s licence or passport will be requested to confirm your reservation.

Are pets allowed?

Maison de Vacances properties are not suitable for pets.  If you have an animal which requires boarding, please get in touch.  I would be pleased to recommend some suitable boarding places for your consideration.

Please note that for your increased safety, security cameras are in operation at selected Maison de Vacances property entrances.
